Gary Hoover
I work professionally as a chef and as a licensed New Hampshire real estate sales agent. I am available to discuss catering, private events, kitchen support, culinary consulting, and other food-related work.
Real Cuisine brings that practical culinary work together with my broader interests in food systems, agriculture, land use, and community development. What connects these activities is an interest in solving problems involving food, whether that means preparing and serving it well, supporting the people and businesses responsible for it, or examining the systems through which it is produced, distributed, and made accessible.
If you are planning an event or working on a problem involving food, I would be glad to hear from you.
Let’s Talk
If something here connects with work you are doing, or if you believe I may be able to help, I would be glad to hear from you.
Culinary work
I offer catering and culinary support for private events, businesses, and community organizations. My services may include menu and event consultation, food preparation, on-site cooking, and assistance with the planning and execution of an event.
I am also available for short-term and project-based work, including temporary kitchen support, supplemental event staffing, food production, harvest work, and general farm labor. The exact nature of the work depends on the needs of the project and my availability.
To discuss an event, project, or temporary staffing need, please get in touch using the email form above.
Food Systems and Ideas
Alongside my professional work, I study questions involving cuisine, food access, agriculture, ethics, and the responsibility involved in feeding other people. I develop and share some of that work through my Substack.
